Life is about balance. A balanced life gives a calmer to life that can only be defined as a happiness in everything you do and everything you are. You can not please all of the people all of the time but pleasing the right person at the right time brings harmony to your life.
If you put yourself at the top of the tree and make you the one to please first then you are on the right path. Listing to your inner self and thinking what you want out of life and where you want to be gives you the first insight into your happier you.
If you make this your centre stage or the middle of your mind map then you can plan the next stage. Work out what the stumbling blocks are and work out how to overcome them or move them out of the way.
Whats your plan? What do you want out of life?

Being The Real You.
If you close your eyes and imagine your self in the life that you want for yourself what do you see?
Is this the person that we see on the outside? If you are a chef are you a chef by choice. Are you at home with the children because that is where you want to be? Are you working as a Director with big responsibilities because you enjoy the pressure?
If we all stop and think about the things that light our fire we will probably know deep down that what we are actually doing is what pays the bills or passes the time. It is what we do to survive and we quite enjoy it really but as to our passions or what we really want well………………
I dare you. To dream, to sit and daydream about what you would really like to do. Turn everything off. The television, the radio, the kids everything and just sit with yourself for five or ten minutes and really think, really listen to what you are saying to yourself.
If your dreams are big I am not asking you to jump on a plane instantly and set up home in a hut on a beach on some remote island. But I am thinking that may be, just may be, you should be listening to your inner self.
Some of the things that we want for ourselves are not instantly possible. But to forget the real self and settle for whatever is happening around us, or to us is to easy and we are not living the true life that we want to live.
Now you have had your daydream what is the next plan of action. Or are you not going to do anything. In which case maybe you were not listening to yourself loud enough.
Why not write down your dreams. The ambitions that you suddenly realise you want. It dose not matter how big or how small but it must be important to you or you would not have thought about it. Write down all that you saw in your daydream. Write down who was there, what you were wearing, note things that seemed different.
I don’t know what your dreams are. I don’t know how you are going to go about achieving them. But I do know that you know, really know ways that you could start to achieve them.
If you have always decided that you are going to live by the sea when you are 65 and you are now 52 and have been saying it for years then it is something that your heart desires but you have not been listening. But now you have got to the grand age of 52 and realise that this is what you want - you can now start planning it.
You can start your journey slowly be taking a holiday in the place that you think you want to live when you retire. You can check out things like how far you are from the facilities that you might need. If you don’t know where you want to live then you can pick an area and start looking at places on the Internet or in books or take a touring holiday around the areas you like.
Then there are the finances to look into, check out whether the retirement fund is up to what you want out of your retirement. And so on and so on.
Suddenly your dream is not just a dream anymore. O.K. so it has not happened instantly but if you have not started planning it now it would still be a dream when you are 65. “When I’m 70 I’m going to retire to the sea” and so it would go on until it is too late.
Living the dream dose not have to mean that you have everything you heart desires. We have responsibilities in our lives and other people that we have to consider, look after and be there for. But we don’t have to lose sight of what we want in our lives.
So be brave and start to plan. Explore the possibilities. See what is needed to move in the right direction. One step forward is better that taking no action at all.
Pick up that pen and paper or a fresh page on your computer word pad and plan this big idea properly.
Write down in a Specific way your goal. Make it stretching, systematic and synergistic.
Now make it Measurable, meaningful, memorable and even magical.
After you have done this decide what is really Achievable. Draw up an action plan and make yourself accountable, revise this goal that you are now setting for yourself and make sure it is agreeable. Now think about how Realistic it is. Make it reasonable maybe result orientated and defiantly rewarding. The last thing to plan is the Time-bound arrival of it all coming together. Really put some thought into it and make it tangible. Suddenly you have something that is really worth working toward. Now you have something that you really want to do and a plan of action that is going to challenge you into achieving the real you. Congratulations you!

Feel good about yourself.
Feel Good About Yourself.
Feeling good about yourself affects everything you do. It affects how other people see you and how you see yourself.
Think about it if you don't care then why should anyone else care.
What you feel on the inside shows on the outside. You give off signals to other people by the way you act, the way you dress and the way you carry yourself.
Think about it. If you get up in the morning. Put whatever is hanging over the chair (or on the floor) on. Push your hair back into a ponytail.
You take one look in the mirror and think "Yuck" but if you carry on into the day with this look and this attitude then that is the attitude you get stuck in - this becomes how you feel about yourself and this is the message you give out to other people.
Even small changes can make a difference. If I asked you what could you do differently I bet you would instantly come up with a number of suggestions - Get up earlier - have a shower - re-style you hair. Hang the clothes up the night before - Organize what you are going to wear as you go to bed.
Now the difference is you wake up knowing what is going to happen - You have your clothes organized ready. You shower re-style your hair - look in the mirror and think - FANTASTIC. You have changed how you feel about yourself - you have made an effort and suddenly you feel differently about yourself. How you leave the house is now altered. How people speak to you know changes.
Why? Because you feel differently, something changed and it was a good change. Changing the way you think about one thing a day will make a big change by the end of the week.
Go on try it - let me know how you get on.

Using coaching in business
If you feel you are not achieving your full potential in business or in life, then maybe coaching is for you.
A coach can offer you a sounding board to hit ideas of against.
Someone that you can talk to on a regular basis over a set amount of time.
Having someone on you side who can work with you to achieve the goals that you want to achieve must be a bonus for any person wanting to succeed in business and in life.
You would start by filling in a questionnaire that really makes you think about your background and your values.
After sending this off you would arrange a good time to meet either face to face or over the phone with me your coach.
The first session would map out what you want to achieve from being coached. You would then start to set your goals for the things that you want to achieve through your coaching sessions.
Between the first session and the second I would email you a formula to help you state your goals properly and professionally.
Over the next few sessions we would catch up. We would discuss how the actions that you have agreed to take are going. What is working, what is not and where you want to go next to really spring board you plans.
Goals that are achieved are celebrated. Sessions can be used to re evaluate and give goals that are not working a kick start.
This process works because you are in control. You are asked questions and given support, encouragement and faith to do what you need to do to make these goals work for you.
Hear is what Teresa says about coaching.
"The conversations we had have had a very positive effect on my life, and this continues even as I write.
My achievements against my goals, while not perfect, have been significant to me - particularly in the fundamental issue of teaching me to get back on track immediately when i wander of course...
My weight continues to go down (with the occasional hiccup) because I know I can pick myself up and just set off again tomorrow, instead of giving up in despair. I am getting my blood sugar under control while trying to eat healthily and I feel better all round.
All your encouragement and practical suggestions for De-cluttering my house have been great ( the ten minute tidy up has been a revelation) and best of all - I have painted the kitchen after nearly a year avoiding it. I am now starting on the rest of the house.
I couldn't have done it without your friendly weekly phone calls and optimistic insistence that I could achieve my personal goals. I have to say that you encouraged me in a very kind and gentle way without making me feel a failure when I didn't always achieve what I'd set out to do.
I think you did wonders and you still inspire me to keep on working towards my goals even after a few weeks have passed without you encouragement.
Thank you
Hugs Teresa
